Walk on the sea bottom

A "dive" under the sea without mask, without oxygen, without fins. Another way to look through the lens, a journey made at the whim of the tide.

Seabed is not a workshop or a photography workshop. It is a mix of sightseeing, technical consultation and disclosure of other looks. Leverages the low tide to go stretches of coast in search of photographs that most of the time are not there. And  may never be again, because after each trip the return of the tide makes sure nothing stays the same.

The attention to detail, use of light, choice of the ideal time, using the light that exists because it's the only one you get are all parto of a journey that is complemented with a "dip" on the surface around the area or nearby. It is a reflection of photography in an environment different from usual, that holds it's own secrets and dangers. It's not an experience for all but can be a unique sightseeing trip for those that dare to take it.

Are advised clothes and proper shoes with good tread, and means to protect the equipment (a thin sheet of plastic or other material to put in the backpack). Depending on the time of year can be given more precise information, on request, to each participant.

Given the limitations that the weather conditions pose to the journey, sometimes it can be canceled and set a new date.

The transportation to the place of "diving" - in the Lisbon region - is the responsibility of participants.

The duration of the activity is about 6 hours, extending the dialogue about it beyond that period, through the evaluation of a portfolio held by each of the participants and the creation of an eBook of some 20 pages with notes added by the author, a record that traces the evolution of the photographic work of each participant. It is also provided an e-book with information on the visit and photographic aspects of it.

Descida ao fundodomar

Um “mergulho” no fundo do mar sem máscara, sem oxigénio, sem barbatanas. Uma outra forma de olhar através da objectiva, num percurso feito ao sabor da maré.

Fundodomar não é um workshop ou oficina de fotografia. É um misto de passeio, consultoria técnica e revelação de outros olhares. Aproveita a maré baixa para percorrer trechos de costa em busca de fotografias que parte do tempo não estão lá. E em boa verdade podem nunca mais voltar a estar, porque com cada maré algum do traçado subaquático transforma-se.

A atenção ao detalhe, uso da luz, escolha da hora ideal, exploração da luz que há quando a há são temas que surgem nesta viagem de um dia em que se complementa o “mergulho” com a exploração da superfície na zona envolvente ou próxima. É uma reflexão de fotografia num ambiente distinto do habitual.

São aconselhados roupa e calçado adequado, com bom rasto, e forma de proteger o equipamento (um oleado, plástico ou outro material para colocar sob a mochila). Consoante o período do ano podem ser dadas indicações mais precisas, sob pedido, a cada participante.

Dadas as limitações que as condições atmosféricas colocam à actividade, por vezes esta pode ser anulada, sendo definida uma nova data.

O transporte para o local de “mergulho”  - na região de Lisboa - é da responsabilidade dos participantes.

O tempo de duração da actividade é de 6 horas, estendendo-se o diálogo sobre a mesma para além desse prazo, através da avaliação de um portfolio organizado por cada um dos participantes e acriação de um eBook de uma vintena de páginas com notas adicionadas pelo autor, num registo que traça a evolução do trabalho fotográfico de cada participante. É também fornecido um e-book com dados sobre a visita e aspectos fotográficos da mesma.
